My name is Sergio Garcia and I have lived in the Valley since 2005. I previously worked as a dentist in Mesa, AZ before coming to Maricopa, AZ. I was born in Yuma, AZ and grew up in Somerton, AZ. I am the youngest of six siblings. Outside of dentistry, my wife and I share our home with four cats and two dogs. I enjoy the fine details of woodworking as well as working on cars in my spare time.
Inspiration
My dad had worn out his teeth at a young age, which became problematic for him. He struggled to eat and smile with confidence until he met a dentist who helped him with a full-scale transformation. This dentist was able to recreate a new smile, obtain improved function, and eliminate pain. My dad’s demeanor completely changed. I noticed first hand how dental health can have a profound positive influence on various aspects of one’s life. I knew then that I wanted to be a part of that degree of healing and patient happiness/confidence. Now, I look forward to helping my patients gain confidence in their smile, be free of pain, and obtain the overall health benefits of optimized oral care.
Education
I graduated from Midwestern University – College of Dental Medicine (Glendale, AZ). Prior to obtaining my doctorate, I received a Masters in Biomedical Sciences and a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology.
Professional
As an active member of the American Dental Association, I pursue continuing education in the vast array of dental subspecialties in order to offer my patients comprehensive and contemporary care. In the past, I have had the pleasure of working with patients at Arizona Mission of Mercy and Give Kids a Smile. There is nothing more satisfying than relieving and eliminating dental pain. I look forward to creating happy and healthy smiles for you, your family and friends.
